Christopher S. Henninger, D.M.D.
Dr. Henninger joined North County Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry in 2011. Dr. Henninger is a well-trained general dentist who joins Dr. Huenergardt in providing the highest level of care to our patients.
Dr. Henninger was born in Tennessee. He attended the Baylor School of Chattanooga where he excelled in academics, and earned a varsity swimming scholarship to the University of South Carolina. Once he completed his undergraduate degree in Biology and Chemistry, he began his dental degree at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. During dental school he was awarded a scholarship from the United States Navy and he agreed to serve as a Dental Officer for three years. While in dental school, he developed a passion for treating underserved people through an organization called Dental Community Fellowship. Through DCF he traveled to more than twelve countries on dental mission trips.
After receiving his dental degree, Dr. Henninger completed a one-year General Practice Residency at the Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital. This hospital based residency focused on advanced dental procedures and the treatment of medically compromised dental patients. Once complete, he was assigned to the USS BOXER (LHD 4), where he served as department head and the ships only dentist. Dr. Henninger deployed in 2008 as a part of Mission Continuing Promise, and 2009 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Dr. Henninger joins us with a wealth of dental experience. He is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Diego County Dental Society, and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. Dr. Henninger is also a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and a certified Invisalign provider.
Dr. Henninger lives in Carlsbad with his wife, Camille and child Addison. In his spare time, he enjoys many outdoor activities including running, biking, and surfing.
