We see one patient per day. Cosmetic dentistry smile makeovers require the full attention of the dentist. At your appointment, you will be the center of attention. There will be no other patients to distract us. The day you schedule is for you only.

Intravenous and oral sedation is offered for apprehensive patients and long procedures. Dr. Wayland is an evaluator for the California State Dental Board and has been providing intravenous and oral sedation since 1983.

Bay Area Cosmetic Dentistry offers boutique cosmetic dentistry at select locations throughout the Bay Area. We use only the best materials: porcelain ceramics, resins, impression materials, etc. Bay Area Cosmetic Dentistry only works with master ceramist graduates of the UCLA Center for Esthetic Design. Dr. Wayland is the founder of Bay Area Cosmetic Dentistry. After practicing general dentistry for 18 years he limited his practice to cosmetic dentistry in 1999. He is a faculty member at the UCLA School of Dentistry Center for Esthetic Dentistry (CED) where he teaches cosmetic dentistry to dentists from all over the world. The CED trains dentists and laboratory technicians at the very highest level during a two year, full time residency in cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Wayland is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry – a distinction held by less than 1% of all dentists in the United States. The fellowship takes a minimum of five years to complete plus 500 hours of course study in specific areas of dentistry. Candidates must pass a comprehensive written exam. Cosmetic dentistry will not last unless it is built on solid principles of general dentistry.

Finally, Dr. Wayland is one of the most experienced dentists in the United States in the art of cosmetic dentistry. His first set of porcelain veneers, completed for his sister in 1984, still look natural and beautiful.
